Harvesting the Wind

Missouri’s first commercial wind energy farm to be dedicated Sept. 17.

Missourians are invited to the dedication of the Bluegrass Ridge Wind Energy Farm near King City on Monday, Sept. 17. This is the first facility to turn wind power into electricity in the state.

The Associated Electric Cooperatives Inc., along with partners Wind Capital Group and John Deere Wind Energy, are sponsoring the dedication ceremony. Tours start at 9 a.m.; ceremony at 10 a.m. Parking is at Eiberger Road, north of King City on U.S. 169 Highway.
