Sign-up for EQIP

NRCS offices taking applications for conservation practice funding until Oct. 5.

USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service has announced that individuals interested in participating in the Environmental Quality Incentives Program should apply by Oct. 5 to be eligible for the next round of funding.

Through EQIP, farmers receive financial and technical assistance to help install structural conservation practices and to implement management systems that promote conservation.

NRCS has updated the program to include funding for planting windbreaks for odor control around animal feeding operations and assisting landowners with damage incurred during ice storms and spring flooding.
