Funnel cakes, cotton candy and corn dogs are favorite fast foods at the State Fair. But if you're looking for a fun and more nutritious treat, check out the AgriMissouri Market. It provides state fairgoers the opportunity to sample AgriMissouri members' products everyday. Each day of the fair held Aug. 9-19, three different AgriMissouri members will offer their products. You can sample everything from barbecue sauce, pepper jelly, fruit jam, and meat sticks to milk and cheese.
Located in its new home in the center of the Agriculture Building on the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, the AgriMissouri Market allows fairgoers to see what products are made in their home area and purchase products that are unique or hard to find.
AgriMissouri provides marketing assistance to Missouri's small businesses in addition to great food products. Fairgoers will be able to pick up the 2007 version of the 'Guide to Missouri Goodness' brochure providing location and contact information for AgriMissouri's agritourism members.
