Gov. Matt Blunt and Missouri Director of Agriculture Katie Smith will be visiting Missouri farms and agribusinesses across the state this week to speak to farmers and community leaders on the latest agriculture issues and opportunities.
On the tour, Director Smith will visit a beef farm, meat processing and retail facility, a biomass energy plant, tour a farm with flood damage, visit a dairy farm, a wood products manufacturer and tour a vineyard.
Director Smith will be making stops at the following farms and agribusinesses:
Monday, July 23
8:45 a.m. - Marshall & Fenner Beef Farm, Mt. Leonard
10 a.m. - Alma Farm Fresh Meats, Alma
1 p.m. - Show Me Energy Cooperative, Centerview
3:30 p.m. - Steele & King Farm, Butler
Tuesday, July 24
8:30 a.m. - KBC Dairy Farm, Purdy
1:15 p.m. - McGinnis Wood Products, Cuba
3 p.m. - Stone Hill Winery Vineyards, Drake
4 p.m. - Stone Hill Winery, Hermann
Gov. Blunt will wrap up the four-day agriculture tour with an agriculture issues summit in southeast Missouri on Thursday, July 26 and Monday, July 30.
